Sharat brings with him an unrivalled breadth of business and clinical credentials. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Exactech, Inc.

Exactech is a leading global orthopaedic device company and is also a part of the investment portfolio of the marquis private equity firm, Texas Pacific Group (TPG Capital).

In his role as JointMedica Board Director, Sharat will leverage his prior medical, academic, and clinical experience as an orthopaedic surgeon and Associate Chairman of Adult Reconstruction at the OhioHealth Group. Sharat is also an alumnus of the healthcare practice at McKinsey & Company and the healthcare team at Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, California. Sharat's previous high-volume hip and knee arthroplasty practice with a subspecialty focus on hip resurfacing and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty, along with his breadth of high-level business exposure, allow him to excel in his current capacity as the Chief Medical Officer to Exactech.

Sharat readily recognized the Polymotion® Hip resurfacing system's value to the global surgeon and patient community. As a result, he led Exactech's due diligence and subsequent negotiations between Exactech and Terence Smith - Managing Director JointMedica, resulting in an exciting partnership that will re-establish the global hip resurfacing market.
