University of Toronto invited Mr. Ronan Treacy to take part in the prestigious Grand Rounds
Last month, the University of Toronto invited Mr. Ronan Treacy to take part in the prestigious Grand Rounds hosted at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. This event attracted an audience of around 40 surgeons, both in person and via Zoom. Moderated by Professor Peter Ferguson and Dr. Daniel Pincus, with the presence of Dr. James Waddell, the session promised an insightful exploration of state-of-the-art orthopaedic techniques.
During the session, Mr. Treacy presented "Hip Resurfacing: Past, Present, & Future," captivating the audience as he shared his personal journey in designing and utilising the next generation of hip resurfacing.
In recognition of his exceptional expertise and contributions to orthopaedic surgery, particularly in hip resurfacing arthroplasty, Mr. Treacy was honoured with the Division of Orthopaedics University Wide Rounds 2024 Travelling Professorship, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.
Mr Treacy’s visit to Toronto concluded with the University of Toronto’s evening dinner, which provided an invaluable opportunity to engage with an estimated total of 50 surgeons. Through these interactions, knowledge about hip resurfacing and the Polymotion* Hip Resurfacing device was disseminated, laying the groundwork for future advancements and collaborations in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
